Dog Days of August

Simply not any hotter here than Colonial Beach, Virginia.  We’re living on Apolonia  at Nettles Island Marina on the barrier Island, Hutcheson Island, right on the Inter-Coastal Waterway.  We receive a nice breeze almost every day.  Not saying it’s cool but not any worst than Virginia because of our location very near the Ocean.  And we have this great restaurant, Shuckers, right across the street from the Marina.  The condo/villa we are buying is near here and receives nice ocean breezes most of the time.

A New Home

It’s Sunday and we’ve finalized a contract to purchase a Condo or Villa (called by both names) in Port St Lucie.  It’s a 2 BR + study condo, also called a Villa.  We’re excited and will keep the boats at Nettles Island Marina, just 8 miles away.

Our First Post

This is our first post of this blog.  Why did we do this?  Well, we don’t use Facebook much and it’s hard to control and find past posts, but we want to keep a journal of our adventures.  So we use this blog to record what we want recorded.  Our friends are welcome to follow along and comment, or not.  We’ll enjoy reviewing our adventures as we get older.

We just sold our home in Colonial Beach Virginia and have moved us and our two boats to Florida … we’re living aboard Apolonia and will do so until we purchase a Condo or Villa in southern Florida.  Here is a picture of our cruising boat APOLONIA and our 22′ run-about PAGET.
