Even as the weather turned very pleasant, Carey and I decided to travel to Virginia and Maryland to visit family and friends over Thanksgiving. The trip started November 19th and ended December 4th when we returned to Florida.
We made a two day trip to Colonial Beach starting November 19th and stayed in Diane and Peggy’s home starting Wednesday, while they visited family in Florida. We visited with Bill Bowman and the Blunts; Jack and Ann even came down for a day. Great fun. On Sunday we traveled to Jack and Ann’s place in Manassas and enjoyed their company until Wednesday, the 27th when we headed out for Annapolis and Thanksgiving with Lauren, Cynthia, and the grandkids. Thanksgiving is a special holiday and we enjoyed sharing it with family. We even had time to pick up the Christmas Tree for their home. Saturday we left and returned to Jack and Ann’s for a couple more days of relaxation, visiting with their entire family. We had not seen all of them together in quite a while. We enjoyed. Here comes December and we took off Monday the 2nd for Virginia Beach and an overnight visit with Karen, Carey’s college girlfriend. Up leisurely Tuesday morning, we started the two-day trip back to Florida. Now home and getting ready for visits from Barny and Ginger, then Karen, and after Christmas Day, Lauren and family. A house full this season.
