Our Boating Adventures

Our boating adventures from today back to 2017 are covered in the blogs available on this site under the page titled “Blog of Events and Happenings.”

The activities before 2017 are available starting with this link:  Link to our boating adventures.

The picture below, while not live links, provides a view of the organization of the various trips and information you can view by clicking the live link above (Link to our boating adventures).  You’ll be able to wander through a bunch of Bahamas trips between 2006 and 2017 and our Great Loop & triangle loop adventure in these files.  Enjoy.

We have had a great time boating.  A few pictures from our travels are in the collage below.  We are cruisers, over 40,000 miles mostly in the US, Canada, and the Bahamas.  After your review, should you choose to, close the tab and you’ll end up right back here.

We did most of the long-range cruising on a 43′ Vista named Apolonia.  She is shown below.  We sold her in December 2017 as she was just too much to keep up anymore.  We purchased the 1999 Maxum 3700 you see below the Vista.  We named her Apolonia also … just because.   We were living in Port St Lucie FL and thought this would be a good boat for the area.  During this period we also owned a 1958 22′ classic picnic boat built by Davis Boat Works, named Paget.  We used her for short trips, but mostly we spent time restoring her.  We sold her in Florida and she is now boating in Miami FL.  More detailed pictures of the boats we’ve owned are found clicking the “link to our boating adventures” directly above and opening the Boat tab.

This is Paget, a ’58 antique cruiser built by Davis Boat Works.

After a few years in Florida, we decided we wanted to live in Colonial Beach.  We missed the friends and activities.  It was such a great place to live, we wondered why we left.  After buying a home in the town we also purchased a 42′ Grand Banks Trawler for boating in the Chesapeake.  Pictures below.
